Morning folks,
out of the depths and into the heavens with some haiku this morning…

Shriek
Whitecaps whipped up
By shrieking, salt-laden wind.
Grey waves beating in.

Space
Sky festooned with stars –
Lonely white light travelling
Through echoless space.
Things I’ve read this week…
I found a fantastic little piece of flash fiction called ‘The Guy That’s Made of Ghost‘ written by Chimeraglix. It is such a simple little piece which does so much in so few words. I found it very evocative and the language was beautiful.
If you haven’t been across to Lynn Love’s blog yet, you’ve been missing out on some fantastic fiction. Her piece ‘Goodbye Dolly‘ is certainly no exception. As with all flash fiction, what is left out is as important as what is included in this story. There is so much understated emotion here – a great read.

Once again, super pairings. Loved the shriek of one and the echoless space of the other. Such spare grandeur!
