Pastel and Prowl | Haiku

It’s nippy in the west of Scotland – this may have influenced my haiku this week…

Cirrus clouds in a blue sky

Pastel

Pastel cirrus trails –

Memories of summer, a

Vapour trail backwards.

Autumn leaves

Prowl

Prowling rattle of

Scabrous leaves’ quick skittering,

Of winter coming.

Thanks for reading, folks. Images courtesy of Bernt Rostad and Wikipedia. My recent short stories include ‘A Clearing‘ and ‘Crib Stuck‘.
