We go from the blue light-soused night to the bright sunshine in a couple of haiku…

Blue
Blue light spilling on-
to keyboards, duvets, curtains –
invasive, urgent.

Beat
Midday sun beating.
Ice-cream running over hands.
Race against the melt.

Race against the melt. What a wonderful image. I will hold it all summer long.

I like both of those, Matthew. But all I can say is just… ooh, yum, yum, yum!

Two visceral haikus for me Matthew. Blue light conjures insomnia. The “race against the melt” evoked delicious chills. Super!
