Blue and Beat | Haiku

We go from the blue light-soused night to the bright sunshine in a couple of haiku…

Blue light spilling out onto a laptop keyboard

Blue

Blue light spilling on-

to keyboards, duvets, curtains –

invasive, urgent.

A hand holding an ice-cream, with melted ice-cream running down the fingers

Beat

Midday sun beating.

Ice-cream running over hands.

Race against the melt.

Thanks for reading folks. Recent short stories include ‘Deposition‘ and ‘The Worst Part‘.
