The weather has turned, the nights are drawing in – a couple of appropriately themed haiku…

Wind
Old alluvium,
host to wind-blasted lichen.
Yellow-green on grey.

Winter
Winter dawn’s half-light –
greys and blues, muted ochres.
A dog-day breaking.
