Evenings are stretching long here in Scotland; a couple of haiku to suit…

Light
Those summer evenings
of adolescence. Time and
light, stretched like taffy.

Lilac
Gathering night creeps
up the eastern sky – bars of
mauve, lilac, and plum.

Thanks so much as always!
delightful opening to my morning: a colorfest :)thanks Matt 🙂
Thanks John.
Brilliant! The taffy reference is perfect. Growing up on Lake Erie in northern Ohio we often saw storms roll in during the evening and the clouds did look like taffy being stretched out.
That sounds so atmospheric Christopher!
Wonderful imagery in these pieces.
Thanks as always, Chris.
