Evenings are stretching long here in Scotland; a couple of haiku to suit…

Smooth flow of blended warm golden and cool purple colors

Light

Those summer evenings

of adolescence. Time and

light, stretched like taffy.

Wild grass and wildflowers in a meadow at sunset with purple clouds overhead

Lilac

Gathering night creeps

up the eastern sky – bars of

mauve, lilac, and plum.
