Hi folks,
haiku in the half-light today…

Gnarled
Gnarled hazel twisting
In a tortured search for light,
Piercing the canopy.

Greened
Greened, greasy surface,
Untroubled save for lilies.
Shadows move beneath.
Thanks for reading, folks. Recent short stories include ‘Drip, Drip, Drip‘ and ‘Listen‘.

Both of those are really lovely, Matthew. The first one is going up, like the way my big tree in my garden does, and the second one, looks like my little lilies in the pond – they are rather greasy too!
