We’re high in the mountains for a couple of haiku…

Snow
The pure, new-born glare
of upper-slope snow, biding,
waiting to rush down.

Sun
Iridescent blues
and crevasse-birthed greys. Icefall,
moving in the sun.

Thanks Christopher! There’s a good book by Robert MacFarlane where he discusses all the colours that ice can be – quite the spectrum!
I’m feeling I’m on skis just now on that first one, but I don’t want to fall into a crevasse in the second one though. Very nicely done, Matthew!
Thanks Chris. A bit of dexterity required during the second one right enough!
enjoyed the invitational rush of ‘snow’ —
Thanks John. As long as I’m on top of the snow and not underneath!
hahahahah
Pretty!
Thanks so much. Very kind of you.
