Glacial and Gush | Haiku

Two haiku born from tectonic movement today…

An image from an top-down perspective, detailing the heft of the earth, with mountains and glaciers and rivers.

Glacial

Glacial margins,

heaving landscapes. No borders,

gridded dry stone walls.

A small spring of clear water, surfacing on a heathered moor.

Gush

Earth’s plasma gushes

from homespun moor, from fissured

rock, from glacial melt.

Thanks for reading folks. Recent short stories include ‘Shift‘ and ‘The End of the Day‘.
