Hopefully a still, summer vibe in today’s haiku…

Long
Skeins of mist thrown long
over hillock and deep dell.
A summer dawn’s veil.

Languorous
Languorous in age,
the broad oaken branch reaches
over the quiet brook.

enjoyed these two,Matthew, both pics and haiku: cheerful, placid poems afer a wild elctrical and rain storm last night; we are heading into winter: all part of the cycle 🙂
Oh wow that sounds spectacular!
Love the oak reference. Great work sir.
Thanks as always, Christopher. Very kind of you.
Well done, Matthew. I can usually pick a favorite, of the two, but not today.
Thanks so much David.
Beautiful, evocative poems, Matthew.
Thanks Chris!
