Long and Languorous | Haiku

Hopefully a still, summer vibe in today’s haiku…

Sunrise over rolling green hills with morning mist and a dirt path

Long

Skeins of mist thrown long

over hillock and deep dell.

A summer dawn’s veil.

River flowing beside a large old tree in a forest at sunset

Languorous

Languorous in age,

the broad oaken branch reaches

over the quiet brook.

  1. enjoyed these two,Matthew, both pics and haiku: cheerful, placid poems afer a wild elctrical and rain storm last night; we are heading into winter: all part of the cycle 🙂
