Snow and Sun | Haiku

We’re high in the mountains for a couple of haiku…

Detailed image of a snowfield on the upper slopes of a himalayan mountain.

Snow

The pure, new-born glare

of upper-slope snow, biding,

waiting to rush down.

View from the bottom of a crevasse, looking up at a moving icefall coloured blue and grey.

Sun

Iridescent blues

and crevasse-birthed greys. Icefall,

moving in the sun.

Thanks for reading folks. Recent short stories include ‘Passing Traffic‘ and ‘Ribbons in the Valley‘.
