Star and Sky | Haiku

A couple of nighttime haiku for the festive season…

Image of a Scottish village reflected in a dark loch at nighttime

Star

Shimmering village,

waterborne under star shards.

Wind-tugged reflection.

Image of a lonely, desolate Scottish hilltop at night, with a starry sky above.

Sky

Those wild, lonely places –

nightcloaked, high above the din.

Looking to dark skies.

Thanks for reading folks. Recent short stories include ‘The Kinmount Straight‘ and ‘The Clacks‘.
